Press Release

So I have been thinking that when I release Fight The Darkness what sort of reviews I will get, and I realized that I need to do some self reflecting on some of the possible reviews I could get.

Good Reviews.

Worth The time and money nice to see a developer in Australia

It's an interesting game that some interesting concepts.

The scares in this game a good, and pacing of the works really good.

The Story work really well for a game that isn't to long.

The mood of this game is really works in favor for this type of game.

Level design is smart give the right amount of exploration and linearity to it.

it's so good this must be game of the year.

It's the best game world, people that don't like this game don't know what makes a good game.

Can't wait for the next game in the series.

Really Like the style of the game, and how it makes the game work to show off the best bits.


Bad Reviews

Where are the scares

it's not surprising that a student did this game.

Wish i had spent my time doing something else instead of playing this game.

Not a good looking game, and the 3d models aren't good either.

Where are the difficulty settings in this game.

need more just two weapons why aren't there more weapons.

not options on game play style, or different approaches to a problem.

Game is to long, and the story doesn't keep you interested in the game.

Story is boring and doesn't make an sense bad writing.

Full of bugs, and glitches this game hasn't even been tested properly.

Freemium Model.

So I have been thinking where I should put my game and some of the places i thought of are.


Gog, steam greenlight, Desura, playstore, app store apple, indieDb.

This is the current model i'm thing of where i go with my game.

Steam Green Light, free to play that allows the play to buy in game items that allow the play to use different weapons and skins.

It will work like this because the game will still be balanced to allow for someone to play without the need to pay, but paying with give the player the ability to play with less seriousness have weird fun.

Its been a While.

So it's been a while since i last blog, yes I'm still live and yes the games that I'm developing are still alive and well i have just had a case of flu that wouldn't allow me to get out bed with coughing for serious enough time that i thought that i might vomit.

But enough self pity for me I got three important pieces of information to give.

Firstly the FPS game Fight The Darkness is going along well I'm in the midst of developing objects for game, to allow the game feel more alive and to give the player more options on what they can do, what they need to do and give some variety on the game play.

Secondly the tower defence game that I'm developing has had some stand stills, i have got the second tower done just need UV it and texture it, but I have hit a snag I'm having trouble getting my tower into the game and to work properly. I'm however getting a better idea of what i need to get the game running and I would like to remind my followers yes that I do have three creeps done and i have go idea for a fourth creep that should be interesting to do and easy.

Thirdly I have decided that I'm going to continue this game by the end of the year and try to get this game available to for general public to play. I'm very serious about this since i want to make my mark on the game industry and put out a full game that people can enjoy.


Just a reminder of to everyone i have wall, floors, and ceiling textured. for the FPS Fight The Darkness and i do have plans to redo the texture for the ceiling, also note that I have list objects and items for game that I created and i have half of them done and should get the others done soon, i don't have a texture ready for them but i do have them UV.

AI and ME

I have been meaning to post this for a while this will be the AI that i have decided that i want to use for FPS game Fight the Darkness.


AI
System one
Part one of the AI system works on trigger events when player get certain point on the level the enemy will go to that location to find the player this when the second part of the AI starts.
The second part is when after the trigger event happens the enemy AI will try to find the player by either seeing the player by direct line of sight or when the AI hears the player.
If the is unable to find the player after a certain amount of time enemy AI will return to origin position, but now is wait for the player to create sound of significantly loud enough for the enemy to be trigger into action and go to the last known position, the cycle starts again.


System two
System two works with a trigger system, but unlike system one the AI will know where the player is at all time a track down the player and attack. However this system will be used rarely for the enemies AI. 


Well that was the AI that i want to design and use.

I also have recently finished my second creep for the tower defence game, the name for this creep for now is code name FATTY.
